GENERAL CONTRACTOR IN LEBANON, OHIO
We repair Lebanon’s old brick and stone with matched mortar, and run the whole job when it crosses trades.
Downtown brick to barn stone
Downtown Lebanon is 19th-century brick on Broadway and Main Street, much of it in soft lime mortar. Around Shaker Run you get newer brick fronts. Turtlecreek Township barns still sit on fieldstone.
Most of what we fix here started as water getting in where mortar or flashing gave out.
Framing, roofing or a finished basement on the same job? We run it as your general contractor.
What we do in Lebanon

Downtown brick
Hand-raked joints and lime-rich mortar matched to the original, never a hard mix that spalls soft brick.
Stone foundations
Loose limestone and fieldstone reset and repointed, so the foundation can often stay.
Chimneys
New crowns and rebuilt tops, or a dead chimney taken below the roofline.
Newer brick fronts
Flashing, weep holes and cracked veneer fixed before water reaches the framing.
Concrete and patios
Driveways, walks, stoops and paver patios, poured and laid by our own crew.
Before and after in your neighborhood
Drag the handle. Same house, same angle, our work in between.

Eroded mortar raked out and repointed with matched buff-gray lime mortar

What clients say
★★★★★
“We inherited a historic home with a failing stone foundation. Swiss Masonry worked with our structural engineer and the city’s historic preservation office without us having to babysit a single conversation. They know how to work with old buildings. Highly recommend.”
Rebecca S.
★★★★★
“Tuckpointing on our 1915 brick home. They protected the landscaping, cleaned up every day, and finished ahead of schedule.”

Lebanon questions we hear
Does my downtown Lebanon building need approval before masonry work?
Yes, if the building is in Lebanon’s Architectural Review Overlay District: exterior work there goes through the city’s architectural review, and the Planning Commission handles Certificates of Appropriateness. We prepare the mortar samples the review asks for.
Do I need a permit for a patio in Lebanon?
Not if it’s at grade. Lebanon’s planning FAQ says a concrete or brick paver patio at grade needs no permit. Driveways take a city engineering permit, and porches and retaining walls need a zoning permit.
Can a fieldstone foundation be repaired?
Usually, yes. We reset loose stone, rebuild failed sections in matching stone and repoint with a mortar softer than the stone.
