Swiss Masonry reviews: real clients only
Swiss Masonry is a masonry contractor and general contractor working across Cincinnati and the 50-mile area around it, including Northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana. Swiss Masonry has done masonry in Cincinnati since 1993. This page used to show short quotes that we could not trace back to a public review by a named client, so we took them down. From now on, this page links only to reviews you can check for yourself.
Where our reviews will be posted
Reviews of our work will live on Swiss Masonry’s Google Business Profile, written by clients under their own Google accounts after their jobs are done. When they are posted, we will link to them from this page so you can read every one in full, in a place where we cannot edit them.
How to leave a review after your job
If we did work for you, a short, honest review helps the next homeowner more than anything we can write about ourselves. On a computer it takes five steps:
- Sign in to your Google account and open Google Maps.
- Search for Swiss Masonry and open our profile.
- Scroll down and click Write a review.
- Pick a star rating and describe the job in your own words.
- Click Post.
The Google Maps phone app works much the same way. Google does not allow anonymous reviews, so the name on your Google profile shows with what you write. If you would like a direct link to the review form, call 513-202-3598 or email business@swissmasonry.org and we will send it.
What makes a masonry review useful to the next homeowner
- What was wrong before we started: loose chimney brick, eroded mortar joints, a leaning garden wall, water coming through a foundation.
- Whether the new mortar matched the old in color and joint profile.
- Whether the finished work matched the written scope and the price you signed.
- How we handled anything unexpected we found once the wall or chimney was opened up.
- How the site looked when we left, and how we answered your calls afterward.
Our review policy
We never pay for reviews, and we never offer a discount, gift or favor in exchange for one. If we ask for a review, we ask the same way whether the job went smoothly or not. We do not filter, hide or hand-pick which reviews to show, and we will not pressure anyone to change or take one down.
Federal law points the same way. The Federal Trade Commission’s rule on consumer reviews, 16 CFR Part 465, bars businesses from posting fake reviews, from paying for reviews that express a particular opinion, and from using threats or intimidation to keep negative reviews down.
What every client can expect from us
Until the reviews are up, here is what you can hold us to. It is the same list we would want a reviewer to judge us against.
- The owner, Adriel Moore, looks at every job in person and prices it himself.
- A written scope before work starts: what failed, what we will do, the materials and the price. Every job goes in a written contract.
- Small crews, usually two masons on a masonry job.
- Mortar matched to your wall: Type N portland cement-lime mortar to ASTM C270, or a lime-rich Type N or O on soft pre-1920 brick, chosen from a sample panel you approve.
- When we run the job as your general contractor, licensed trade partners do any electrical, plumbing or HVAC work, and we schedule and coordinate them.
- Cleanup at the end of the job, with our debris hauled away.
- A one-year workmanship warranty, in writing.
- Insured. Certificate of insurance on request.
Every job is priced after the owner sees it. Common masonry ranges are on our pricing page. To see how we approach the most common repairs, read about tuckpointing and chimney repair, or look through the concept renderings in our gallery, which show the kinds of repairs we do and are not photos of client jobs. More about who we are is on the about page, and common questions are answered in our FAQ.
